The Tankard Rating System

The Beer Wrangler & Wranglerette rate all beers on a scale from 1 to 5 Tankards as described below:

tankard Poor – Its time to take this beer out back and put it out of its misery!

.      tankard.jpgtankard.jpgMediocre – While you shouldn’t say no if it’s free, It’s not good or bad – this ain’t a beer to be buyin’ a whole lot of..

.      tankard.jpgtankard.jpgtankard.jpgRecommended – It might not be a classic but it’s a great beer for sharing round the campfire.

.      tankard.jpgtankard.jpgtankard.jpgtankard.jpgExcellent – Yeehaw & Giddyup! This is beer to protect from rustlers and should not be .missed.

.      tankard.jpgtankard.jpgtankard.jpgtankard.jpgtankard.jpgTruly Outstanding – We’ve struck GOLD! This beer exemplifies the style and is a Beer Wrangler classic!

All beers’ ratings are a personal opinion of the reviewer, and try to reflect the style that the beer is being sold as. For example a classic pilsner is not going to have the flavour complexity and depth of an aged barley wine – but it’s not supposed to! So a beer given a 5 Tankard rating is relevant to that class and style – not to Beer in general.
